Nothing gets uploaded.

Whether you install CalmPDF or use it online, your document opens on your own computer and every edit happens right there. Nothing is sent anywhere, so nothing can leak, be stored, or be read by anyone else. There is no server behind the app that could receive your files, even by mistake. When you close it, the document exists only where it always did: on your machine.

What it does

Installs in seconds
Straight from Chrome or Edge, with no installer wizard and no admin rights. Own window, offline work, and a place in the Open-with menu for .pdf files.
Pages
Drag to reorder. Rotate, duplicate, delete, insert blanks, or merge in a second file.
Split & extract
Save a range like "1-3,7" as a new file, or every page as its own.
Edit printed text
Click a line and retype it where it sits. Color and background match automatically, and on scanned pages the built-in OCR reads the text for you first, double-checking every number it finds.
Sign & stamp
Draw once, reuse forever. A photographed signature loses its paper background on the way in.
Markup
Pen, highlighter, cover-ups, shapes, stamps, sticky notes.
Forms
Fields stay interactive, Hebrew values included. Flatten when you need to.
Export to Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Word gets the text as an editable document, Excel rebuilds the tables with numbers you can sum, PowerPoint gets a slide per page. How the conversion works →
Watermarks, page numbers, Bates stamps
In any corner, at any size.
Forty fonts
Every one covers Hebrew and English, embedded into the saved file, and includes lookalikes for Arial, Times and the Hebrew classics.
Runs online too
The same editor works straight in the browser when installing isn't an option.
Undo
Ctrl+Z all the way back. The file on disk is never touched.

Click the document's own printed text and simply type over it, in place.

The everyday meaning of "edit a PDF". Pick the Edit tool and every printed line gets a quiet outline. Click one and it opens right where it is, prefilled, in a matching color. Two honest notes: the replacement uses CalmPDF's own fonts, which are close to the original rather than identical, and the old text is covered, not erased, so this is not a redaction tool.

Hebrew, treated as a first language · עורך PDF בעברית ←

The whole interface switches to Hebrew, laid out right-to-left.

Fonts that belong
David, Heebo, Alef and Frank Ruhl, shekel sign included, embedded in the saved file.

Fair questions

Does it change my original file?

Never. Edits are saved as a new download (yourfile-edited.pdf) and the file you opened stays as it was.

How do I make it my default PDF editor?

Install it from the download page, then right-click any PDF, choose Open with, pick CalmPDF and tick Always. The installed app also works with no internet connection.

What about scanned documents?

Pick the Edit tool and CalmPDF reads the page by itself, Hebrew and English alike, then double-checks every number with a second pass. Saving bakes a searchable text layer into the file. More on editing scanned PDFs →

Do form fields survive editing?

Yes, as long as you keep the page structure. After merging or reordering pages the fields' values are kept but become part of the page.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They open. Type the password once and CalmPDF unlocks the file on your own computer, whether it uses the older RC4 scheme or modern AES. A file locked only against editing opens with no prompt at all. Saving writes a normal unlocked copy. Adding a password to a file yourself is coming next.

Can I rename the app?

Yes. Click the app's name in the editor and make it yours: name it "Gordi" and it becomes GordiPDF by Hoteliers, with your own logo and theme color.

Which browsers work?

Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop. Tablets work too; fine mouse work is nicer with a mouse or pen.
