What the reading pass does

Reads on your device: The OCR engine runs inside the browser. The scan is never sent anywhere, and after installing the app it reads with no internet at all.
Hebrew as a first language: Hebrew and English recognized together, mixed lines included, with the interface available in Hebrew too.
Numbers double-checked: Amounts, IDs and phone numbers are re-read by a second, digit-focused pass, because a payroll table with one wrong digit is worse than no table.
Cell-by-cell editing: A table row splits into its cells, so clicking one amount opens just that amount, not the whole row.
Searchable when saved: Saving bakes the recognized text into the PDF as a searchable layer, so the scan behaves like a real document from then on.
Lying documents caught: Some PDFs carry a text layer that doesn't match the printed page. CalmPDF checks the layer against the pixels and switches to OCR when it lies.

Recognition quality follows scan quality. A clean 300-dpi scan reads nearly perfectly; a crooked phone photo of a crumpled page will have misreads. The double-checking pass catches most of them on the numbers, which is where mistakes actually cost money.
